As a Southern Californian, I'll only excuse him because he was at the beach. If he were in Downtown L.A. and taking them to Mood in flip-flops, I would have been unsettled. Funny thing was he was still so buttoned up when he met the designers for their challenge, yet was wearing the flip-flops.
