Fortunately, all of my examples are bosses I no longer work for. I don't have any bod ones right now. The good thing about most educational institutions are that the department chairs are committed to seeing their teachers succeed. Even so, educators aren't saints but human like everyone else. In any situation, I've learned (and am still learning) how to develop a good relationship with my boss. I've also learned to stand up for myself when necessary (though this is a life-long process).

OMG! These are--in one form or another--my boss. Unfortuately, I cannot walk away from my day job. Not yet. She hates that I am better educated, better liked, and frankly more efficient than she is. I make sure I keep notes and get seperate evaluations by others to keep in my file. It's such a nuisance to have to do this. Especially when at times she thinks we are the best of pals. What is she on?

Hope your situation improves. (Hope mine does, too, for that matter!)

Cheers,
Haley
