Talk About A Train Wreck

Who would have ever thought that Flavor Flav would set VH1′s reality TV machine in motion?

I’ve only tuned in occasionally, and each episode of the Flavor Flav enterprise gets wackier and wackier. First there was the freakshow, which was the flirtation between him and Brigitte Nielson. Then he tried to woo her in front of millions of viewers. Spurned, he took a page out of the Bachelor’s handbook and auditioned some skanky ho’s to find his next girlfriend. New York, though eliminated from two seasons of Flavor of Love, got her own show and auditioned dogs (that says it of the quality of men on the show) to get her next boyfriend. She’s going to do it again soon, but the biggest trainwreck so far is where the Flavor of Love girls go to Charm School.

These girls embarrassed themselves on Flavor of Love with their uneducated speech and their hoochie mama wardrobes, but they were willing to subject themselves to an encore sans Flavor Flav. The best thing about it is that they provide plenty of drama amongst themselves.

Who would have ever thought selling perfume on Hollywood Blvd. would generate a bitchfight? Put these girls into a competition and it’ll happen. First, after Brooke, Shay, and Larissa interviewed their classmates for their teams, Brooke was the last to pick her team members while the other two quickly grabbed their favorites. The irony was that she didn’t want any of her team members but she won the competition with them using the priniciple high and low end perfumers understand: SEX SELLS. This didn’t sit well with Larissa so she picks a fight with Brooke in the kitchen, threatening to kick her ass and resorting to racial name calling.

Having seen at least one other episode, the competition doesn’t even have to be that fierce to get them at each other’s throats. There doesn’t even have to be any competition. They just want to fuck each other up on national TV.

Like any trainwreck, you can’t take your eyes off it. This is done in the name of benefitting the girls, but it all goes to VH1′s pocketbooks.
